I joined JobNinja in 2020 and have worked across almost every part of the product since then.

I’ve built job ingestion systems, search and recommendation systems, internal automation, employer tools, and parts of the frontend. More recently, much of my work has moved toward AI, semantic search, infrastructure, and making older systems better without breaking what already works.

JobNinja has probably shaped me more than any other job. It taught me how software changes when you have to live with it for years, not just ship it once.

I worked with ESAI on an AI-powered college admissions platform.

I built features across the stack, worked on integrations and onboarding systems, fixed production and infrastructure problems, and generally jumped into whatever needed solving.

It was a short contract, but one where I got to work very close to the product and ship quickly.

MyReader was an AI reading and learning product.

I worked mostly on the systems behind turning messy content into something useful: OCR for scanned documents, extracting articles and YouTube content, text-to-speech, file processing, and the infrastructure around it.

A lot of the work was about taking slow or fragile AI pipelines and making them behave like actual production software.

Vstudio was a platform for live fitness and wellness experiences.

I worked across the product, from backend services to payments, messaging, location features, and the frontend.

It was one of the jobs that made me comfortable being a full-stack engineer rather than staying inside one part of the stack.

Lokafy connects travellers with locals for personalised tours.

I worked on its Django APIs and parts of the Vue frontend, including improving automated test coverage.

It was a relatively short contract, but a useful introduction to working inside an established international product remotely.

Rhics was where a lot of my early professional engineering happened.

I worked on several client products and also co-led the development of an election prediction system for Nigeria’s 2019 presidential election. Our prediction ended up being about 89% accurate.

This was where I learned to move between software engineering, data, product thinking, and whatever else was necessary to get something working.

Amplified Payments was one of my earliest professional engineering experiences. I joined in 2018 as a Software Engineering Intern.

It was where I began to understand how software is built inside a real team, and where I got my first close look at fintech, particularly payments in Nigeria.

The experience gave me a grounding in software fundamentals and shaped, to a good extent, the kind of engineer I am today.
